Seeking one very special person who is passionate about fostering love, connection and a sense of harmony between engaged couples through the medium of dance. Someone who will find great joy in increasing their intimacy and happiness while teaching them how to dance together, and create custom, level-appropriate choreography for their wedding dance.
You are upbeat, positive and love having fun, and are deeply committed to creating a non-intimidating environment for our clients to learn and grow. You have some teaching experience and a foundational knowledge of the basics of partner dance styles (advanced knowledge not necessary).
You are competent and confident, with a sense of humility. You see constructive feedback as an opportunity to increase your skills and mastery in the art of teaching and coaching clients. You have a passionate desire to learn, and are excited to be trained in our Steps to Love®️ signature methodology.

About the Founder
Erin Parsley is the founder of Steps to Love® Wedding Dances, an award-winning choreographer, professional dancer, and certified relationship coach. She helps engaged couples feel confident and connected during their first dance through a personalized process that blends custom choreography with emotional bonding. Erin is also the creator of Erin Parsley Coaching, where she offers somatic and Human Design-based coaching for individuals and couples.
About the Role
We’re hiring one standout instructor to join our close-knit, passionate team.
You’ll teach first dance lessons to engaged couples — in person, and potentially virtually.
You’ll create simple yet stunning choreography tailored to each couple’s skill level.
You’ll help clients feel safe, connected, and celebrated throughout the process.
This is part-time and flexible. Sessions usually happen on evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
Teach basic partner dance steps with clarity and confidence
Choreograph and teach custom first dances, plus pre-set routines when needed
Foster trust and connection between each couple
Show up on time, well-prepared, and professionally dressed
Communicate clearly and promptly with the team and clients
Offer encouragement, gentle coaching, and positive energy
Uphold the Steps to Love values and approach
Requirements
Strong people skills — friendly, patient, encouraging
Experience in teaching dance (partner dance basics required)
Willingness to receive feedback and grow
Humility and emotional maturity
Excellent communication and follow-through
Ability to travel to in-person sessions
Must be available an evening between 5-8pm and/or a weekend day or evening in San Francisco
Comfortable working with a wide range of couples, including LGBTQ+

Compensation & Training
Pay starts at $50 per 50-60 minute session, with increases built in after successful completion of 5 session packages:
$50 per session for first package of 5 sessions
$60 per session for 2nd package of 5 sessions
$70 per session for 3rd package of 5 sessions
$80 per session for 4th package of 5 sessions
$90 per session for 5th package of 5 sessions
$100 per session for all sessions after that
